Discover the Nogoa River trail

Explore More of Emerald’s Nogoa River by following a nature trail created by the Central Highlands Regional Council.

Starting at Rifle Range Road’s John Gay Bridge, the Nogoa River nature trail is a 2km gravel pathway that leads pedestrians and mountain bike cyclists south-west to the Selma Weir.

A second section, beginning at Campbell-River Streets intersection, leads north-east to the Town Weir, also known as Bottom Weir.

Stage one was launched in 2020 and received grant funding from the Australian Government in the form of $259,600 and a council contribution of the same amount.
