Digital-only TV: Coming to soon
On December 6, many parts of the Central Highlands will no longer receive analogue television transmission. To keep receiving free to air TV after this date residents not already receiving the digital TV channels will need to consider the option best suited to their location. Choices may include a digital set top box, improved antenna system or switching to the new VAST satellite service.
Government assistance is still available to eligible residents.
For more information to help you get ready for the switch, call 1800 20 10 13, visit the website www.digitalready.gov.au or call the Digital Switchover Liaison Officer at CHDC on 49824386.
Recent work to facilities at Sapphire and Anakie mean residents will need to retune their digital TV or set top box to receive the Rockhampton WIN service. Other analogue TV services provided through councils towers will remain until 2013.
Residents watching digital TV around Springsure now have access to a digital SBS service, they may need to retune their set top box or digital TV to receive it.
