Our Team

CHRRUP maintains a staff of 3 field officers, who initiate and support neighbourhood catchment activities, overseen by the coordinator. The role of the field officers is to assist landholders identify relevant on-farm and strategic projects, provide technical expertise, and help access available funding. All landholders (including Shire Councils, mines and traditional owners) receive one-on-one visits and support to build relationships, achieve extension outcomes and support environmental activities in an atmosphere of confidence and trust.

Anna’s involvement with the rural industry spans her whole career, beginning as an Agribusiness Manager for Westpac based in Orange and Roma. Moving to Emerald in 2003, Anna held the position of CQ Regional Manager for Agforce. Prior to joining CHRRUP in May 2006, Anna was the Qld NLIS Information and Implementation Officer, a State based extension position, where she expanded her knowledge and contacts within the industry. Anna continues her involvement with other professional associations in her roles as board director for the Future Farmers Network, and mentor for the DPI&F Young People in Rural Industries scheme. She is currently undertaking a Masters of Economics.


Vicki Kuhn (Nogoa Catchment Field Officer)

Vicki has extensive experience working as a sales agronomist supporting irrigated and dryland growers in the Central Highlands since 1994.  Currently the Central Highlands representative on the national WINCOT (Women in Cotton) association, Vicki is involved in many volunteer organisations including her role as a steward for horse events at the Emerald Show.  Vicki started work with CHRRUP mid-May 2005 and is completing a Degree in Applied Science (Agronomy).


Susie Bate – Comet Catchment Field Officer

Susie joined the CHRRUP team in June 2007, and will be a familiar face to many landholders in the region. Having grown up on her parents’ property near Gindie, Susie has valuable practical experience in the cattle and cropping industries in Central Queensland, enhanced by her studies in Agribusiness and Agriculture. Susie is currently completing a Bachelor of Communications through USQ Toowoomba. Prior to joining CHRRUP, Susie was employed by AgForce as their Regional Membership Coordinator.


Sally Murden (Administration Officer)

Sal and her husband Geoff produce irrigated crops in the Emerald Irrigation Area, and she spends time outside of work chasing her 9 year old son Guy.  The Murdens have a strong affiliation with CHRRUP, undertaking projects on their farm and Geoff becoming a recent Director on the CHRRUP Board.  Sally is a long term local, living in the area since 1974.  She also sells beautiful candles on the side!

Bronwyn Roberts (Belyando Suttor Field Officer)

Bronwyn is well known around the Emerald district, and has a strong knowledge of the cattle and cropping industries in Central Queensland. She grew up in Emerald and has worked on her family’s properties Olive Vale, Alpha and Barngo, Capella. Bronwyn has been the Administration Manager for Elders, Emerald since 2004 where she has developed outstanding financial management and customer service skills. Bronwyn has a long history with the Emerald Saleyards, completing her traineeship with Emerald Peak Downs Saleyards Board in 2003 and working as the Assistant Superintendent until moving to Elders.
