The Central Highlands Natural Resource Management Plan

Completed in December 2003, the Central Highlands Natural Resource Management Plan was written with extensive participation and input from the community and local farmers.

The Plan lists natural resources that the Central Highlands community want to maintain and manage in the areas of;

• Land Use (Grazing, dryland & irrigated cropping, forest, mining, national parks & urban)
• Biodiversity (Animals & plants)
• River Health & Water Quality
• Cultural Heritage
• Sustainable Communities
