CHRRUP’s Vision:

Central Highlands people working together for healthy communities, landscapes and a balanced, viable future

CHRRUP was established as a 3-year resource use planning project in July 1997, and became an Incorporated Co-operative in September 2001.

We aim to improve the sustainability of resource use and management in the Central Highlands region of Queensland by encouraging greater coordination and stronger partnerships between Central Highlands industry and community groups, and providing support to regional planning processes.

We are:

  • Community Owned
  • Open & Transparent
  • Independant
  • Focussed on the Central Highlands

The Central Highlands region of Queensland covers the 5 shires of Emerald, Peak Downs, Belyando, Jericho
and Bauhinia, and includes the Nogoa, Comet, Belyando, and Suttor Rivers.
